For those of you I haven’t had a chance to catch up with, I thought I’d start filling in the blanks a little bit from my end.

After the store closed, I took some time off before deciding I’d like to work as a Real Estate agent, assisting people in buying and selling property, as well as doing some development in my own right.

I’ve had a long, happy relationship with real estate for many years. I’ve bought and sold many properties previous to obtaining my real estate license, and have been an active part time developer during that period. I’ve built homes, flipped homes, done a strata conversion and developed land. I’ve done these either on my own or with one or two of my brothers added to the mix.

Last year, in 2016, I built two single family dwellings in Sidney, and this year, I’m doing the same; which is to say, two more single family dwellings, also in Sidney.

I’m proud to say my general contractor for these two beautiful new houses is Farmer Construction. My project is the first residential build Farmer has undertaken in many years I’m told, so that makes me even more proud. They’re going to be lovely.

In step with the Town of Sidney, I’m presently building for those with families – though a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home is likely good for just about anyone. One of the highlights of these homes is the master bedroom on the main floor. This feature allows the owners to age in place – meaning they don’t have to worry about climbing stairs in later life and so can stay right where they are.

Have a look at the pictures from the Eighth Street house as of today – out of the ground and with a roof on.

More to follow in coming posts.

Meantime, email me if you’d like to catch up live and in person.
